Application of current magnets in maglev train

Maglev train is a magnetic levitation high-speed train system which adopts non-contact electromagnetic levitation, guidance and drive system. It can reach more than 500 kilometers per hour. It is the fastest ground passenger transport vehicle in the world. It has the advantages of fast speed, high climbing ability, low noise, safe and comfortable, no fuel, less pollution and cheaper price. And it uses elevated way to occupy very little cultivated land. Maglev means that these trains are suspended on the guideway instead of the old steel wheels and rail trains by using the basic principle of magnet. Magnetic levitation technology takes the electromagnetic force from the magnet to lift the whole train car, and gets rid of the annoying friction and unpleasant clang, and realizes the fast "flight" with no contact with the ground and no fuel.

Maglev train is the most fundamental breakthrough of railway technology since Stephenson's "rocket" steam locomotive came out about 200 years ago. Today, maglev train seems to be a new thing, but its theoretical preparation has a long history. The study of magnetic levitation technology originated in Germany. As early as 1922, German engineer Hermann Kemper put forward the principle of electromagnetic suspension, and applied for the patent of a magnet suspension train in 1934. After 70s, with the continuous strengthening of the economic strength of the industrialized countries of the world, developed countries such as Germany, Japan, the United States, Canada, France and the United Kingdom have begun to plan the development of the Maglev Transport System in order to improve the transportation capacity to meet the needs of its economic development.
