Eight major methods for professional sound placement

The loudspeaker and the listening space are all one, and all kinds of expressions of voice are produced in the interaction between the two speakers and the listening space. According to various conditions, you can find the most suitable location for your horn in the eight way of setting up position.

317 proportions: the length of the room is divided into three equal points (three), the horn is placed at 1/3 length (one), and the interval between the two speakers is 0.7 times (seven) of the room's 2/3 length. The loudspeaker has a slightly inward projection angle, but it can't be projected inward, but the listening position should not be attached to the back wall.

Results: this method is applied to the space with large size and even proportions (for example, 1: 1.25: 1.6 or 1: 1.6: 2.5), and the balanced sound and wide and deep sound field can be obtained.

331 proportions: the length of the room is equally divided into three equating (three), and the width is equally divided into three equating (three), and the horn is placed on the first equal point of intersection of length and width (1). The loudspeaker can be slightly projected to the inside, or even needs to be projected internally, so that the listening position can not be attached to the back wall.

Results: this method is also applied to large and even space.  The only difference between it and the 317 ratio method is that the interval between two speakers is narrow. This method can also get balanced sound and wide and deep sound field.

The screw hole pendulum method: the horn is placed between 1/3 and 1/2 of the room, and then the two horn is as far as both sides of the wall (if the room is very wide do not need to close to the side wall), and the angle of the two horn is more than 45 degrees. The listening position should be about 0.5 meters -1 meters after the intersection point of projection angle intersection line.

Results: this method is dedicated to the treble too sharp, too thin, is not enough bass baritone.

The right triangle method: the first condition is to leave the rear wall (at least 1 meters above) and the side wall (at least 0.5 meters or more). The second condition is to draw the two speakers and the listening position into a regular triangle. The third condition is that the angle of the two horn should be 45 degrees or more. The fourth condition is that the regular triangle can be large and small. When the room is small and the power of the latter stage is not large, the regular triangle is smaller. When the room is large and the rear stage power is large, the regular triangle will be bigger.

Effect: its advantage is that it can reduce the excessive interference of four wall reflector to the loudspeaker's direct tone, and get a good sense of location and wide and deep voice field. This is the pendulum which can hear the most, most direct and the most detailed details.

* long side pendulum method: Horn against the long side of the room to swing, horn back wall, the regular triangle swing.  The listening position should not be attached to the wall, at least 0.3 meters away.

The effect is medium frequency and low frequency, and the depth of sound field is poor.

This diamond pendulum method: this method is the use of square space. The square space is regarded as rhombus, and the horn is placed on the diamond side and on the wall.  The diamond rhombus horn behind the loudspeaker and the diamond rhombus corner behind the listening position are treated by circular arc or cylindrical acoustic wave diffusion. The horn should not be too close to the side wall.

Result: this method can solve the problem that the standing wave is too strong for the bass boom in square space. If the square space does not swing like this, we must plug in the furniture to "calm" standing wave.

This wall pendulum method: Horn close to the wall after the pendulum, regardless of the distance from the back wall of 50 cm or 30 cm are never mind, you can prepare.

Effect: high frequency sharp, low frequency and low frequency, can make full use of medium frequency and low frequency, and the whole high, middle and low frequency can be balanced. It also makes the depth of the field lighter and the width narrowed. But if we compare with the harsh and harsh sounds, it is the right way to sacrifice sound field to acquire pleasant sounds.

Method: this method is designed to give the cabinet. No small speakers use tripod. If the horn on the ark, pad of marble or granite in the horn under the pyramid placed between the horn and the stone. If there is a vibration absorption of iron or iron on the sandbags on the top of the horn is preferred. If the horn is placed on the bookshelf, the speakers will be filled with books on the top, bottom, left and right sides. At this point, the pyramid must not be used.
